Topeak expands its range with the E-Booster Digital electric pump
Topeak, known for its bicycle accessories, is entering the electric pump market by introducing the E-Booster Digital model, under the reference TDP-E01. The uniqueness of this pump lies in its speed and precision, displayed at 2 PSI (0.13 Bar). It is capable of inflating a 700 x 25c road tire to 6.9 bars in 80 seconds, and a 29 x 2.35 MTB tire to 2.1 bars in 80 seconds as well. It can reach a maximum pressure of 120 PSI (8.3 bars) with an accuracy of ±2 PSI. With its three buttons and integrated display, the pressure can be easily adjusted.
A universal adaptable nozzle
The Topeak pump includes a SmartHead nozzle, compatible with Presta and Schrader valves. This ingenious system allows switching from one type of valve to another without difficulty. Furthermore, a flexible hose is provided to simplify the inflation process.
Dimensions and capacity
The E-Booster Digital pump weighs 162 grams with dimensions of 5.9 x 3.5 x 8.6 cm. Although it is not the most compact, it features a 600 mAh battery, twice the capacity of some competitors. Charging via USB-C takes about 45 minutes. With a full charge, it allows inflating three to six tires.
Price and recommendations
The Topeak E-Booster Digital is available for around 100 €. Consider its purchase with discernment, knowing that maintaining the charge is essential for its efficiency. It is recommended to regularly check the battery level to avoid finding an ineffective battery.
Although electric pumps are innovative, the simplicity of hand pumps still attracts many cyclists. They are affordable and reliable, requiring no electrical power to operate.
