Scott unveils the new version of its urban electric bike Silence eRide
A complete redesign and premium equipment
Scott presents the latest version of its urban electric bike, the Silence eRide, which has undergone a complete overhaul. The bike, significantly lighter, loses about ten kilos while integrating new high-end equipment. Despite this slimming treatment, the price rises by 2,000 €, reaching almost 7,500 €. Scott, a renowned Swiss brand in cycling and sportswear, offers a wide range of muscle and electric bikes, including the Silence eRide, launched in 2017, which has since evolved regularly. The objective remains constant: to equip the Silence eRide with the most efficient accessories and technologies. The 2025 version, soon to be marketed, is no exception to this rule.
An ultra-light electric bike under 15 kilos
The new Scott Silence eRide impresses with its sleek design and apparent lightness. Unlike its bulkier predecessor, the 2025 version features a refined aesthetic, accentuated by integrated lighting and a Syncros UC iC Sport combo (flat handlebar integrating a phone mount). With a weight of 14.5 kg, it loses nearly 10 kg compared to the previous model. This performance is explained by the use of a light carbon frame (1.2 kg) and the TQ-HPR50 motor (1.8 kg) housed in the crankset. This motor, produced by TQ Systems, stands out not only for its lightness. It also offers a maximum torque of 50 Nm and is powered by a 360 Wh internal battery, extendable with a 160 Wh range extender. It is also known for its low pedaling resistance once the electric assist is deactivated, allowing easy exceeding of 30 km/h while pedaling.
High-end equipment
The new version of the Silence eRide is equipped with superior quality components: a 12-speed SRAM RIVAL XPLR eTap AXS transmission, SRAM Paceline rotor CL 160 mm disc brakes, and Syncros Capital 2.0 Disc 24 wheels. This 2025 model will appeal to enthusiasts of premium urban electric bikes, combining elegance and lightness. However, this upgrade is also reflected in the price, which rises from 5,499 € to 7,499 €.
