World Vespa Days 2024 in Pontedera
The city of Pontedera, the birthplace and continuous production site of the Vespa since 1946, is preparing to host an event of international scale: the World Vespa Days 2024.
From Thursday, April 18 to Sunday, April 21, the Italian city will buzz with the rhythm of this gathering, which will bring together 8,000 Vespa enthusiasts from 54 countries, representing more than 660 clubs spread across five continents.
The excitement for the meeting is such that registrations were filled in just five days, with 3,000 in the hour following the opening of registrations.
An event of international renown
Mr. Matteo Franconi, Mayor of Pontedera, expresses his pride in the significance of this event for his city and the region.
He underlines the significant impact in terms of attendance and enhancement of the territory.
This festival, which celebrates the iconic Vespa, is also a tribute to the industrial history of the city and to the men and women who have worked at Piaggio to forge the legend of this mythical two-wheeler.
This celebration also symbolizes the culmination of multiple initiatives carried out over the years by the Vespa Club of Pontedera.
Tuscan culture highlighted
This event is not just a gathering of Vespas; it is a true showcase of the riches of Tuscany.
Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the region’s culture, whilst enjoying the spirit of camaraderie that unites Vespa riders.
In collaboration with the Region of Tuscany and Terre di Pisa, the event will extend beyond Pontedera to involve about 20 surrounding municipalities of the Era Valley, fully participating in the framework of the Italian Automobile Week 2024 and contributing to the spread of Pontedera’s image as an integral part of the ANCI’s Motor City Circuit.
