Imminent Launch of Reebok Electric Bikes
The establishment of a new distribution agreement between Reebok and fitness equipment supplier Dyaco Europe will soon make Reebok electric bikes available for purchase in the UK.
Thanks to a partnership with J&P Italia, these models will be accessible as of July. The production of the Reebok electric bike range will begin in the middle of this year’s summer.
Major investment by Dyaco in a new factory
As part of this collaboration with Reebok, Dyaco plans to invest $27 million in an ultra-modern Taiwanese factory. This investment seems, however, to be primarily aimed at launching its own brand of electric bikes.
Dyaco launches its own brand Cikada
The announcement of Reebok bikes distribution coincides with Dyaco’s launch of its own high-end electric bike brand, Cikada. Initially, these will be available in two models designed for the road: the City and the Touring.
An important step for Dyaco Europe
Andrew Ward, sales manager at Sweatband.com, sees these launches as a significant step forward. He expresses his enthusiasm for entering the electric bike market with innovative and leading brands such as Cikada and Reebok and sees a substantial opportunity for Sweatband.com in the outdoor segment. The financial involvement of Dyaco’s parent company as well as that of Reebok demonstrate the group’s confidence in the value of this project.
Availability and pricing of Cikada electric bikes
Cikada electric bikes will be offered for sale via Dyaco’s domestic brand operator, Sweatband.com, following its acquisition of the online market in September 2023. The City model will go on sale starting at £1,999, while the higher-end Touring model will be offered at £2,499. These bikes will be available from May.
