The new arrival of QJ Motor in France
The Moonride: the brand’s first electric motorcycle
Distributed by SIMA since the beginning of the year, the Chinese brand QJ Motor arrives in France with the Moonride, a small electric motorcycle equivalent to a 50 cc. Present in France since 2022, QJ Motor, a brand of the Qianjiang group, strengthens its presence in the Hexagon. SIMA now takes over from DIP for the commercialization of QJ Motor models in France, marking a new era for the brand.
Moonride features
The Moonride belongs to the category of 50 cc electric motorcycles, accessible from 14 years old. It is powered by a 3 kW air-cooled central motor, allowing a maximum speed of 45 km/h and a climbing ability of 26°. The 1.92 kWh battery (60V – 32Ah) offers a claimed range of 100 km at a speed of 25 km/h, although in reality, it varies between 40 and 60 km depending on usage. Charging the battery takes about 1h30 to go from 30 to 80%.
Moonride components and price
The motorcycle is equipped with an adjustable inverted fork with a travel of 205 mm, coupled with an adjustable shock absorber of 210 mm. The 19-inch tires are paired with hydraulic disc brakes and a chain transmission. Offered at 3,999 €, the QJ Motor Moonride is eligible for an electric motorcycle bonus, reaching 480 €. It is available to order in the QJ Motor network, which has nearly thirty dealers in France.
The QJ Motor Moonride marks a new milestone for the brand in France, offering an accessible and efficient electric alternative for young drivers and lightweight motorcycle enthusiasts. With support from SIMA, this small electric motorcycle promises to make a place for itself in the French market.
