Polaris explores electric mobility with a new concept
The Quebec-based manufacturer Polaris, known for its ATVs and snowmobiles, continues to innovate in the field of electric mobility. This time, it is preparing an original four-wheeled electric vehicle, discovered by rideapart.com. This machine, a hybrid between an electric scooter, a scooter, and perhaps even a wheelbarrow, is set to be a real UFO (Unidentified Rolling Object).
A new arrival in electric mobility
Electric mobility continues to attract the interest of manufacturers. Whether in the field of bicycles with Porsche and its magnetic brake, or in the field of motorcycles with Zero Motorcycles and Harley Davidson, innovations are increasing. Polaris has recently filed a patent for a four-wheeled all-terrain electric scooter, a new model quite different from its previous electric creations.
Unique features and adaptability
The patent diagrams reveal a sort of four-wheeled electric scooter, equipped with a wide platform where an adjustable seat can be attached. Several optional modules could be added, such as a lifting device, a wheelbarrow-type box, or even a snow blower. This machine could become the Swiss Army knife of electric mobility.
A design focused on all-terrain
Besides its many surprising variations, it is especially its cycle part that stands out. The vehicle rests on four independent wheels, equipped with suspensions and imposing tires, reminiscent of the brand’s buggies. A removable battery is housed under the folding platform, making storage and transport easier. Obviously designed for leisure and off-road, this vehicle might never see the light of day. However, if Polaris brings it to life, we already have a name to propose: the TSAK, for “The Swiss Army Knife”.
