The manufacturer Neta unveils the Neta S Wagon
Presentation of the electric station wagon
Neta unveiled the Neta S Wagon on its Weibo page, the Chinese equivalent of Facebook. This new model sports the same sleek front design as the sedan, with thin LED headlights and black air intakes. The grille is solid, while the bumper remains open to cool the engine.
The elegant profile of this station wagon offers optimized interior space, thanks to a straight roof and a wide trunk. Dimensions announced by Car News China indicate a length of 4.98 meters, a width of 1.98 meters, and a height of 1.48 meters.
At the rear, there is a lighting signature similar to that of the sedan, with lights integrated into a backlit strip. The Neta logo is visible in the center of the tailgate, and the wagon features 20-inch wheels and red brake calipers.
Interior and technology
Technical specifications
The trunk volume varies between 593 and 1,295 liters. The Neta S Wagon is offered in several versions, including two electric ones with two- and four-wheel-drive configurations. The two-wheel-drive version has a 200 kW (271 horsepower) motor, while the four-wheel-drive version has two motors, one of 170 kW (231 horsepower) at the front and one of 200 kW at the rear. The top speed is 180 km/h.
The exact range has not yet been revealed, but the sedan reaches 1,075 km according to the CLTC cycle, or about 950 km in WLTP. Versions with a range extender of 31.71 and 43.88 kWh will also be available, offering an all-electric range of 185 kilometers (157 km in WLTP).
Arrival in Europe
The Chinese manufacturer Neta recently presented the first official images of its Neta S Wagon, a station wagon derived from the Neta S sedan. This car, available in 100% electric versions and with a range extender, could eventually be marketed in Europe and become one of the best electric station wagons.
Founded in 2018 in China, Neta made its debut with the SUV N01 before launching several models. The Neta S, an electric sedan introduced in 2021, made a strong impression with its range exceeding 1,000 km.
Although few interior images are available, it is assumed to be similar to that of the sedan, with a 17.6-inch touchscreen with 2.5K resolution. The station wagon emphasizes comfort thanks to a wheelbase of 2.98 meters and a panoramic roof. It is also equipped with a 6.5-liter refrigerator and heated, massaging, and ventilated front seats.
It remains to be seen whether the Neta S Wagon will be marketed in Europe, a market fond of station wagons, albeit affected by rising tariffs. The first deliveries in China are scheduled for September. Electric station wagons are gaining popularity thanks to their aerodynamics, with models such as the Nio ET5 Touring, the MG5, the Peugeot E-308 SW, the BMW i5 Touring, the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer, the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo, and the Audi A6 Avant e-tron.
