The CMACEWHEEL V20 is an electric bike that promises a powerful and comfortable riding experience thanks to its quite unique features. Having recently had the opportunity to test this hybrid model between an electric mountain bike and a Fat Bike, here are my detailed impressions on its performance, comfort, and functionalities.
My opinion on the CMACEWHEEL V20
Our test of the bike
Very interesting test of a bike difficult to qualify because it combines the characteristics of several types of electric bikes. It is both a fat bike with its large tires, a sort of full-suspension mountain bike with its suspension under the saddle, but also an easy-to-use bike for women and men with its low frame.
We were able to test it in different conditions and contexts to determine if this CMACEWHEEL V20 actually positions itself on the market.
First impression and handling
Visually, this electric bike is impressive. It seems very robust with its thick frame. You can see a motorcycle style in this electric bike, with its large round headlight.
The first thing that struck me is that this bike is super easy to use, the low frame allows you to step over it very easily. The posture is comfortable with the handlebars slightly raised compared to the saddle, you feel properly installed and safe.
The first pedal strokes are surprising, this bike is powerful with its 750W motor. You immediately feel the power emanating, but the overall design of the bike allows for a seat that allows you to properly control this two-wheeler.
City test
This bike is really stable with these two large fat bike type tires. It allows you to easily navigate the city. Of course, it remains heavy to handle when you need to carry it by hand in narrow places. The throttle handle is always very useful to start this type of bike at the red light. We appreciated its ability to start quickly and without jerks.
We were pleasantly surprised by the seat, the saddle is very comfortable, and the posture is very close to that of a classic city bike. The big plus in our opinion is this low frame and this very slightly curved handlebar.
I used this bike daily for a month on 10 km home-work routes. No issues to report, the battery life is more than sufficient, it was possible to go 2 to 3 days without recharging the bike. Of course, it is advisable not to take too much risk by going to the limits of the battery, and to proceed with regular recharges to avoid any surprises.
Trail test
This is where the versatility of this bike is fully revealed. It is as comfortable in the city as on trails and dirt paths.
Its 4-inch-wide tires make the difference, they ensure real stability on all types of terrain. The fact that you can play with the 7-speed manual derailleur also allows you to adapt your riding to the difficulty of the terrain.
It is on this type of terrain that you can fully enjoy all the suspensions of this bike. Especially this superb suspension placed under the saddle which really brings a mountain bike dimension to this bike.
The balance between manual speeds and electric motor assistance is successful on this model.
Rain and night conditions test
We also wanted to check the safety of this bike in more extreme conditions. What is this large front headlight worth? Well, it is more imposing than powerful, but it must be said that it fully does the job in terms of lighting.
The strong point of this bike is also this double rear light placed both under the saddle and under the luggage rack. It allows for a double automatic brake light illumination. Finally, what distinguishes this bike from other lower-end models is also the fact that turn signals are directly integrated on the device. The turn signals are easily usable with the lever on the left of the handlebar, and they light up at the rear under the luggage rack. A real asset in terms of safety.
Finally, on wet ground, in rainy conditions, this bike still meets the expected requirements for a bike at this price. You can always count on the thickness and width of these tires. The low frame allows you to quickly put your foot down if necessary. The mudguards are very well positioned and help prevent mud and water splashes.
Our experience with the reception and assembly of the bike
The reception of the CMACEWHEEL V20 fat bike
This bike ordered on the BuyBestGear site was delivered in 3 working days in Europe. A heavy bike, and therefore also a very heavy box. It can still be handled by one person. Once opened, the package is perfectly prepared, the bike is well protected. We also find a box with the front light, and one with a set of accessories (pump, phone holder, ..) and the assembly instructions.
The bike is easy to assemble, but there are a few pitfalls to watch out for if you don’t want to waste time unnecessarily like us! 🙂
The assembly tutorial for the CMACEWHEEL V20 bike
This full suspension electric bike is delivered partially assembled. You will need to assemble the front wheel, the handlebar, the saddle, the front light, and the pedals.
Our assembly tutorial:
- Fully open the delivery box
- Cut all the tie wraps and remove the protective foams
- Fix the handlebars by checking that the target drawn is well aligned with the center of the mount. Keep the protection on the LCD screen to avoid damaging it during assembly.
- Turn the bike upside down to more easily fix the front wheel
- Peculiarity of this bike, the front brake disc is not yet fixed, it’s up to you to do it. Attention point: the fixing screws are stored in the pocket that contains the phone mount (we had trouble finding them).
- Once the brake disc is fixed, you can install the front wheel, place the fixing bar, and tighten the bolts.
- Turn the bike upright, check the alignment of the handlebars, and adjust if necessary
- Attach the front light of the bike
- Insert and tighten the saddle
- Screw in the 2 pedals
- Connect the power cable for the front light
Your CMACEWHEEL V20 electric bike is operational.

Presentation of the CMACEWHEEL V20
Design and Construction
The CMACEWHEEL V20 stands out for its robust design and 20-inch wheels with 4-inch wide tires, ideal for navigating different terrains, including urban roads, mountain trails, and even snow. The aluminum alloy frame is both light and strong, offering good durability and a load capacity of up to 120 kg.
Performance and Power
The V20 is equipped with two 750W motors, one at the front and the other at the rear, providing a combined power of 1500W. This configuration allows the bike to climb slopes up to 45 degrees without difficulty. During my test, I particularly appreciated the responsiveness of the motors and their ability to maintain a constant speed even on difficult terrain.
Battery and Autonomy
The bike is equipped with a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery, discreetly integrated into the frame. This battery offers impressive autonomy, allowing travel up to 80 km in assistance mode and about 50 km in purely electric mode. During my trips, the battery proved to be reliable, offering constant power throughout the day.
Riding Comfort
The V20 offers full suspension with front and rear shock absorbers, which significantly improves riding comfort, especially on rough terrain. The ergonomic seat is also a plus, allowing long trips without discomfort. The wide tires add an extra layer of comfort by absorbing shocks and vibrations well.
Safety and Control
Safety is not neglected with the CMACEWHEEL V
