Ford launches Mustang and Bronco electric bikes
Ford inaugurates a new era with the introduction of its Mustang and Bronco electric bikes. These bikes combine the brand’s iconic style with advanced technologies, aiming to appeal to eco-friendly mobility enthusiasts and expand Ford’s lineup beyond cars. Collaborating with electric bike manufacturer N+, Ford has unveiled two e-bikes inspired by its famous Ford Mustang and Ford Bronco models. These bikes, designed as mountain bikes, sport a sporty design with pronounced lines. The Bronco, in particular, has a saddle reminiscent of motocross, although this bike is not intended for such use.
Powerful motor and high-performance battery
What about the technical specifications? Both models are equipped with rear-wheel motors with a maximum power of 750 W, offering a torque of 85 Nm. This power is impressive, although some would have preferred a mid-drive motor. In the United States, these bikes can reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h. The 720 Wh battery operates at 48 V, and a fairly large color display is installed on the handlebar. It is noticeable that the weight of the bikes is quite high, reaching 31 kg, due to their design focused on style rather than the weight reduction typical of classic mountain bikes.
Features of Ford electric bikes
The cycling part of these bikes remains classic with a transmission adapted to electric bikes, including a Shimano CUES U4000 9-speed group, Tektro HD E-740 hydraulic brakes (203 mm discs) with four-piston calipers, and 27.5-inch wheels. The Bronco is equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Enduro M tires, while the Mustang uses Pirelli Angel Urban GT, more city-oriented tires than off-road.
The Bronco has a front fork with 120 mm of travel and a central coil shock. The Mustang, on the other hand, benefits from the same fork but has a pneumatic shock absorber. The exact references of these components are not specified. Both models include a powerful 2,000 lm front headlight with 180 lux.

The Ford Mustang eBike is offered at $4,000 in its gray version, with ten other colors available for an additional $390. The Ford Bronco eBike is listed at $4,500, also with ten additional colors for an extra cost of $390.
