The Rise of Silence Electric Scooters
Did you know about Silence and its electric scooters? Perhaps not, but they stand out significantly with their removable batteries and ingenious transport system, simplifying recharging without the strain of the accumulator’s considerable weight.
This innovative design gives Silence scooters a memorable identity. The Spanish firm notably partnered with Seat in 2019; this pioneering partnership with a car manufacturer was remarkable and paved the way for other similar collaborations.
A Strategic Alliance Between Nissan and Silence
As the end of April 2024 approached, a new notable alliance was announced. Nissan is partnering not directly with Silence, but with its parent company, Acciona.
Under this agreement, Nissan will handle the distribution of a new Silence electric vehicle, which stands out from its usual scooter offerings. It is the S04 Nanocar, a vehicle that, although superficially resembling a Smart ForTwo, entirely stands out as a fully electric model, having access to battery exchange stations installed in its sales markets.
Silence’s Integration With Nissan Dealers
This newcomer will integrate into the existing range of Silence electric scooters and will be available at Nissan dealers in certain European markets.
From June 2024, it will be possible to purchase Silence electric scooters and mini-cars at the brand’s sales points in France and Italy, and from September 2024, Germany will follow suit.
In Spain, Silence already boasts over 110 locations for its battery exchange stations and plans to reach a network of 160 locations by the end of 2024.
Vehicles Suited for Urban Environments
Silence-branded vehicles seem to find their natural place in densely populated urban environments, where life unfolds in confined spaces. The practicality of these electric transportation means might be less in sprawling areas, but congested cities represent the ideal ground for such solutions.
An Original Service Proposition
In a distinctive approach, Silence also offers its customers a subscription to batteries as a service, thus enhancing its flexible electric mobility offer, adapted to new urban lifestyles.
