Among the flagship models of the brand, the Dualtron Mini Special is currently subject to a national recall in France. Renowned for its electric scooters with often exceptional performance, Dualtron has initiated a vast recall campaign concerning the Dualtron Mini Special.
The cables in question
According to an advisory published this Monday, June 17th on the official government website, the scooter has « a structure that poses a risk of injury or fall during its use ». Furthermore, it mentions a potential danger of « electric shock » to the user. The advisory does not detail the issue extensively, but it seems that some electrical cables may be poorly insulated.
The proposed repair solution consists of replacing the charger cable and adding a second layer of insulation on some existing electrical cables. Certain features like the cruise control or assisted start are also disabled under some conditions, although the advisory does not specify why.
Which electric scooters are affected?
Without specifying the exact number of units affected, the advisory indicates that the recall concerns models marketed between September 22, 2023, and December 31, 2023. Owners can check serial numbers online, which are engraved under the scooter.
