Cosmo releases an innovative security subscription
Combining its connected bike helmet with accident insurance, the Cosmo Care subscription enables worry-free riding on any type of bike or scooter.
The Cosmo Fusion helmet
The Cosmo Fusion helmet features a bowl style with a visor and a Fidlock magnetic buckle. It also incorporates connectivity and a removable rear light, which serves as a brake light and turn signals, activated via a remote control fixed to the handlebars.
The benefits of insurance
The insurance, provided by Allianz, covers serious bodily injuries, whether or not there is responsibility. It partially covers medical expenses, hospitalization, rehabilitation, loss of income, or in the event of death. This insurance is valuable for regular trips in potentially dangerous environments and allows switching from one vehicle to another: personal bike, electric scooter, PMD, or even bike-sharing services like Vélib’.
To benefit from the insurance, the helmet must be turned on and the application launched. Note that this offer is limited to French territory.
The Cosmo Care subscription is offered at 9.99 euros per month, with a 24-month commitment. Thus, the total cost amounts to 239.76 euros, about 40 euros more than the price of the helmet alone (199 euros). The customer becomes the owner of the helmet at the end of the commitment period and can choose whether or not to renew the plan.
In the coming months, Cosmo plans to add civil liability coverage, a good news in case of an accident with another cyclist or road user, especially on an electric scooter where this coverage is mandatory.
