The Spanish brand Cecotec ventures into electric motorcycles
Cecotec, already known for its home solutions, is now broadening its horizons by investing in the electric motorcycle market. After making a mark with its electric scooters combining quality and competitive pricing, the company is now focusing on a range of electric scooters suitable for urban mobility while adhering to its philosophy of accessible prices and good performance.
Amid the rise of the electric motorcycle sector, especially since the stabilization of sales in 2024, Cecotec is entering a rapidly expanding market, particularly focused on sustainable mobility needs in urban areas. The brand offers a diversified line of electric scooters, from mopeds for short trips to more powerful models for those seeking autonomy and performance.
Electric moped models
Cecotec’s initial range includes three electric mopeds: Skull, Piazza, and Shark. Perfect for urban mobility, these models reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h and can be driven with a category B or A1 license. All are approved by the DGT, ensuring their compliance with road legislation in Spain. The Skull model is the most compact, equipped with a 1,200W motor, offering a range of up to 60 km with a single battery. The Piazza, with 1,440W, and the Shark, with 3,600W, allow for the addition of a second battery, which can increase the range to more than 100 km, ideal for longer and more frequent urban commutes.
High-power electric scooters
For those seeking better performance, Cecotec offers the Vulcano, Shark RS, and Halo models, comparable to 125cc scooters.
The Vulcano is the flagship version, equipped with a 6,000W motor and a maximum power of 17,000W, reaching speeds up to 120 km/h. This model stands out with its robust and urban design, featuring advanced components such as combined braking, inverted suspension, and a dual rear shock absorber. Thanks to three driving modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport – the Vulcano offers an impressive range of up to 160 km.
The Shark RS, with a sportier design, features a 3,000W motor and dual battery allowing for a range of 110 km and a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The Halo model, compact and lightweight, reaches a nominal power of 7,550W, with a maximum power of 10,000W, allowing it to reach 100 km/h and a range of 130 km thanks to its two batteries.
Competitive and affordable pricing
Cecotec remains true to its competitive pricing strategy for this new range of vehicles. The most affordable moped, the Skull, is offered at only 999 euros, while the most advanced model in the range, the Cecotec Shark, is available for 4,999 euros, making it an attractive option for those seeking urban electric mobility at a reasonable price.
With this varied and accessible offer, Cecotec positions itself as a brand providing comprehensive electric mobility solutions on a daily basis, contributing to a sustainable transition in urban transport.
