The new Brose Drive³ Peak motor finally in production
Announced for years, the Brose Drive³ Peak motor will finally enter mass production with availability planned for 2025. This model promises exceptional performance and a design that is both compact and lightweight.
Advanced performance and design
The Drive³ Peak, which succeeds the Drive S Mag, offers a maximum torque of 95 Nm and a peak power of 600 W. Brose has opted for a 48 V system, which improves performance compared to traditional 36 V motors, without increasing the motor’s weight, which remains at 2.9 kg. Its compact design allows for a 15% volume reduction.
Brose has abandoned the belt technology used in the Drive S Mag. However, the new architecture of the Drive³ Peak maintains the famous “Brose Feeling” thanks to a precise motor adjustment. This motor mainly targets high-end electric bikes, particularly electric mountain bikes.
Competition and market
Faced with fierce competition, notably with the CentriX model from ZF, the Drive³ Peak aspires to become a reference in off-road performance. We now await its integration into the first electric bikes, as well as the response from Bosch, one of the industry’s leaders.
